2016 Topps Heritage - Hobby Box

24 Packs - 9 Cards per pack

Description

Looking back at the hobby's past, 2016 Topps Heritage Baseball centers on 1967 Topps. Fueled by nostalgia, the retro-themed release includes one hit per box.

Featuring the 1967 design, the base set includes 425 cards along with 75 short prints. Red Backs are parallels that add red to the card backs for the entire base checklist. There are also Mini (#/100) and Chrome parallels that extend to 100 of the base cards. Chrome offers multiple options, including Refractors (#/567), Black Refractors (#/67), and hobby-only Gold Refractors (#/5). Hot Box Refractors are only found in special boxes.

Continuing a consistent theme from Heritage Baseball, Throwback Uniform Variations, Action Image Variations and Team Name Color Variations offer differences from the base cards for select players and much tougher odds.

Several inserts add to the collecting appeal for set collectors. New Age Performers highlight 20 players who have overtaken former greats. Then and Now documents 10 player pairings from past and present. Focusing on the highlights of the 1967 season, Baseball Flashbacks offers ten notable occurrences in baseball while News Flashbacks opts for world news.

Although not a main feature of Heritage, the several autographs options are signed on-card and hand-numbered in 2016 Topps Heritage Baseball. Real One Autographs are the primary signed set and there is also a Real One Special Edition (#/67) parallel that uses red ink. Adding more signatures to each card, Real One Dual (#/25) and Triple Autographs (#/5) are exclusive to hobby boxes.

Other signed inserts include Flashbacks Autographed Relics (#/25) and a pair of 1-of-1 cut signature sets that focus on 1967.

A regular inclusion for Topps and the primary memorabilia option in the set, Clubhouse Collection includes both relic and autographed relic cards. Offering game-used memorabilia, Clubhouse Collection Relics adds a small jersey or bat piece to the colorful design. Numbered to 99, the Gold parallel increases the rarity and is joined by Dual (#/67), Triple (#/25) and Quad Relics (#/10).

Adding a signature, Clubhouse Collection Autographed Relics are hand-numbered to 25 and Clubhouse Collection Dual Autographed Relics are limited to ten and exclusive to hobby.

Relics also take the form of original stamps or coins from 1967. '67 Mint combines past and present players with various coins, including a Nickel (#/15), Dime (#/10), Quarter (#/5) or Half Dollar (1/1) version. Similarly, 1967 U.S. Postage Stamp Relics (#/50) offer authentic stamps alongside notable events and players.

Lastly, 2016 Topps Heritage Baseball includes several additional options as box loaders. Each found exclusively in hobby boxes, 1967 Ad Panels, 1967 Topps Originals, 1967 Poster Box Loader (#/50) and 1967 Topps Punch-Outs Box Loader continue the specific focus on 1967. There are also relic and autograph versions for the Poster and Punch-Outs.
